I don't think this is the competition winner, but it was pretty cute anyway

I’m entering a knitting/crocheting photography competition. Confused yet?

Basically the cutest photo of an under 5 year old wearing something that you’ve knitted/crocheted wins $15,000. Worth a go, right?

As per usual, I’ve left things to the absolute last minute and the deadline is looming. I don’t think this is the picture I’m going to send in. I’ll take Riley out to the park in the morning and see if I can get something with a prettier background than my lounge room. We’ll see. I do like the fact that this photo was completely unprompted by me. I’m lazy like that.

      Thanks! The hat is the first non-square thing I’ve crocheted.

      I bought the pattern from an Etsy store – maybe it’s the same one!

    OMG! Did you make that hat Zoey?! That is awesome! I have justed started to teach myself how to crochet and I can’t even make a straight edged sqaure. Hmmm, more practice required, me thinks!

      I sure did – I’m quite proud of it – it’s the first non blanket/scarf I’ve made.

      Keep at it – there are plenty of videos/online tutorials for crocheting and once you’ve got the basic stitches down you won’t have a problem with any pattern you want to use.

      Thanks Becky ;-) I really like crocheting – it’s very therapeutic (for me anyway!)

      I’m sure there will be plenty of professional photographers who enter given the prize money but definitely worth a go!
